As a company we have made some changes to the business to accommodate the ever-changing circumstances of Covid-19. We have focussed on the government advice to enable home working where possible and minimise travel.
From 18th March 202, we made the following changes to our working patterns to achieve these goals.
For all office colleagues, we have implemented home working facilities with full access to phones and all of our office systems. Everyone within sales, purchasing and administration are available as normal during office hours.
As with other manufacturing businesses, home working for our colleagues in production and stores is more challenging. We are very fortunate to have a spacious factory allowing them to keep a safe distance from each other during the working day. In addition to our distancing policy, we have changed our working pattern to reduce their weekly commute without affecting our output. From this morning our factory colleagues are working a four-day week with our factory closed on Fridays.
Obviously, closing the factory does bring some inconvenience as we will not be shipping on Fridays for the foreseeable future, but we trust you will understand and work with us during this difficult time. If you have a breakdown situation where you urgently require a part shipping on a Friday, please get in touch with the sales team on 01495 360022 and we will see what we can do to help.
Until further notice, our operating hours are now as follows:
- Sales, purchasing & administration our normal offices still apply, these are 8:30 to 17:00 Monday to Thursday and 8:30 to 14:00 on Friday.
- Production and dispatch are now 8:00 to 17:30 Monday to Thursday.
- No shipments will be received or dispatched on Fridays unless by prior special arrangement.
