Using the properties of inductance in electrical cables, the ProLoop loop detectors are a very reliable method of detecting vehicles in access control situations.
The ProLoop is connected to either a pre-assembled loop or a loop that you wind into the ground. The unit then sets up an inductive field that will detect the presence of metal of vehicles as the approach a gate, barrier or traffic light. The outputs will provide a signal for the control system to provide the required operation.
